Our Focused Psychological Sessions provide a structured, evidence-based space to understand your difficulties, develop a personalised psychological formulation, and leave with practical tools grounded in clinical psychology.
Many clients are professionals, leaders, and individuals managing significant responsibilities who value a focused, psychologically informed space to think clearly during periods of pressure, transition, or decision-making, though this service is open to anyone seeking brief, high-quality psychological input.
What happens in a Focused Session?
Across one to three extended sessions (typically 90 minutes), we will:
Explore and clarify the challenges you’re experiencing
Develop a shared psychological understanding (“formulation”) of what may be maintaining them
Introduce targeted, evidence-based strategies tailored to you
Provide practical tools you can continue using independently
Approaches may draw from CBT, ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and EMDR-informed strategies where appropriate.
How is this different from coaching?
While coaching often focuses on goals or performance, these sessions are delivered by doctoral-level Clinical Psychologists to understand the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural systems underlying difficulties. This allows for deeper insight and more sustainable change grounded in psychological science.
